Services

I work across the full product lifecycle: from product strategy and portfolio management to roadmapping, product development, launch and product process optimization.

These areas are often connected. A roadmap challenge can be caused by unclear strategy. A portfolio issue can be driven by governance, complexity or ownership. A launch problem can start much earlier in development or decision-making.

My role is to help understand the real product challenge, bring structure to it and translate it into clearer choices, responsibilities and execution.

Product Strategy

Creating direction and focus by connecting market needs, business goals and product choices.

Strong product strategy helps organizations make clearer choices about where to compete, which customer needs to serve and how product decisions support business goals. I help translate market dynamics, customer insights, portfolio realities and internal capabilities into a clear product direction.

This creates a stronger basis for portfolio choices, roadmap priorities and product development decisions. It is especially relevant when priorities are unclear, markets are changing, portfolios have grown organically or teams need better alignment between commercial ambition, technical possibilities and operational reality.

Typical focus: product-market focus, strategic priorities, opportunity assessment, roadmap direction and alignment across product, sales, R&D and management.

Product Roadmapping

Translating strategy into clear priorities, decisions and a roadmap teams can actually use.

A strong product roadmap is more than a planning document. It creates a shared view of where the product portfolio is heading, which priorities matter most and how strategic choices translate into concrete development and market actions. I help organizations turn business goals, customer needs, product opportunities and internal constraints into a roadmap that supports better decision-making.

This is especially relevant when roadmap priorities are unclear, stakeholder input is scattered, too many initiatives compete for attention or teams lack a common view of what should happen next. A good roadmap brings focus, but also creates the flexibility to respond to changing market, technical or organizational realities.

Typical focus: roadmap structure, prioritization logic, stakeholder alignment, initiative selection, development timing and translation from strategy to execution.

Portfolio management

Bringing structure to product lines, lifecycle decisions and investment choices across the portfolio.

Strong portfolio management helps organizations see where product value, market potential, complexity, cost and business impact come together. It creates clarity on which products deserve investment, which need improvement, which should be maintained and which may no longer support the strategic direction. I help organizations assess their portfolio from both a market and internal perspective, so choices are based on more than history, habit or individual stakeholder pressure.

This is especially relevant when portfolios have grown organically, product lines have become complex, lifecycle decisions are postponed or resources are spread too thinly across too many initiatives. It can also support portfolio rationalization and product cost optimization by identifying products, variants or features that add complexity without enough customer value, margin contribution or strategic relevance.

Typical focus: portfolio structure, lifecycle management, portfolio rationalization, product line focus, complexity reduction, value and cost optimization, investment choices, phase-in/phase-out decisions and alignment between portfolio, roadmap and strategy.

Product Development

Turning customer needs, technical possibilities and business priorities into relevant product innovation.

Effective product development requires more than turning ideas into products. It means making the right choices throughout development: what customer value the product should deliver, which technical choices are realistic, how it fits the portfolio and what is needed to bring it successfully to market. I help organizations connect market insight, product requirements, technical feasibility and business priorities during the development process.

This is especially relevant when development priorities are unclear, customer needs are not sharply translated into requirements, or product, R&D, sales and operations are not fully aligned. A stronger product development approach helps reduce uncertainty, improve decision-making and keep development efforts connected to real market relevance.

Typical focus: customer needs, product requirements, value proposition, technical feasibility, development priorities, stakeholder alignment, product-market fit and preparation for launch.

Go-to-market and Launch

Preparing product, market and organization for successful market introduction.

A strong go-to-market approach connects product value with the right market positioning, commercial focus and organizational readiness. It is not just about communication or launch materials, but about making sure the product, sales approach, market story, pricing logic, operations and customer-facing teams are ready to support a successful introduction. I help organizations translate product strategy and development outcomes into a clear and executable launch approach.

This is especially relevant when launch ownership is fragmented, market introduction is treated too late in the process, or sales, marketing, product, R&D and operations are not fully aligned. A stronger launch approach helps reduce risk, sharpen the proposition and improve the chances that new products gain traction in the market.

Typical focus: go-to-market strategy, launch planning, value proposition, market positioning, sales enablement, launch readiness, pricing input, operational readiness and alignment between product, market and organization.

Process Optimization

Improving the way product work is structured, governed and executed across teams.

Strong product process optimization makes sure that product strategy, portfolio choices and roadmap priorities are translated into clear ways of working. It creates better structure around roles, responsibilities, decision-making, handovers and cross-functional collaboration. I help organizations improve how product work is organized across management, product, sales, marketing, R&D, operations and other relevant teams.

This is especially relevant when responsibilities are unclear, decision-making is slow, product management lacks mandate or strategic choices are not consistently translated into daily execution. Better product processes help teams work with more clarity, less friction and stronger alignment across the product lifecycle.

Typical focus: product management processes, roles and responsibilities, governance, decision-making, stakeholder alignment, handovers, process improvement and translation from strategy to execution.
